As far as the nitty gritty's of Scuba Diving requirements are concerned, not much is required, except that one should be physically fit with a good amount of stamina. The minimum age required for the same is 10 years and there is no age bar on the higher end.

Wet suit (breath depending on the water temperature), fin, tank, mask, snorkel, a knife, a pair of leather or canvas gloves, underwater flashlights for night diving, dive tables, and dive watch are all the necessary equipment required for the purpose.

Apart from Andaman islands and Lakshwadeep, Goa fascinates a large number of professional divers across the world, as it is said that the kind of untamed underwater world it offers is similar to that of Maldives. India is fast becoming the adventure tourism destination of the world; and scuba diving and Snorkeling as well as other water sports are going to be an integral part of this.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a Union Territory with its 36 inhabited islands. Regular ship transport is available from Kolkata, Chennai, Visakhapatnam to reach these islands. One can also hire taxis and auto-rickshaws in the city, this can alos be adventurous experience. It is advisable to have own transportation to explore the island.
